Story of JESUS for Children

"The Story of Jesus for Children" is a VCD which will give every child a chance to see and hear the gospel of Jesus in a way he/she can understand. The SOJC currently has more than 70 languages video-streamed. Watch and wonder with Caleb, Joel, Nathan and Benjamin, and find out who Jesus really is. Watch it online now!

This VCD entertains, educates, and introduces children to the life of Jesus of Nazareth, giving them a chance to see and hear the whole story of Jesus at once! The VCD answers questions in clear and concrete terms, provides fast action, and ends with an invitation by a child to children, to choose to invite Jesus into their lives. Children of all ages will enjoy this captivating retelling of the true story of Jesus from a child's perspective.

"The Story of Jesus for Children" provides a solution to the challenge of teaching children the truth about God and His Son Jesus. This VCD uses 40 minutes of the original JESUS film and integrates into the drama 22 minutes of new footage with children who might have lived in A.D.30.

A Word from the National Director

A number of enquiries came to me about the recently launched Story of Jesus for Children VCD. One person asked, "Is it for children only?" and another, "We only have 40 children in our Sunday School, I want to buy 40 copies!"

The SOJC is a special strategy tool to help reach more people for Jesus. We have added a children's perspective to the original Jesus Film. What would children possibly be thinking about the person Jesus? How do they react and what happened when they saw Jesus living that extraordinary life in their time?

On one hand, the children during Jesus' time would have seen Him performing miracles, healing the sick, raising the dead and hear Him teaching about God. It's not a hearsay experience but they saw Him with their own eyes and were witnesses to all that Jesus was doing. On the other hand, their parents being Jews, would tell them not to believe. They were confused yet couldn't resist and are galvanized and attracted by Jesus' love.

The SOJC actually reflects this struggle in the 21st century. Even in adults. To believe or not to believe. The SOJC eventually saw the children making a bold decision based on what they have seen and their convictions. They trusted Jesus and they actually shared why they did.

This is a powerful tool NOT ONLY for children, but also for children today to be the Andrews of Jesus' time. Just as Andrew brought his brother to Jesus, we anticipate children bringing their parents to view the SOJC and lead them to Jesus too.

We are not promoting the SOJC for a profit but as an effective tool, which is based on the Gospel of Luke. Many Christians do not share their faith because they do not know how. We pray that when we place highly effective tools into their hands, it will spur Christians to do something for Jesus.

National Director,
Elder Richard Koh
